emeb
A stimulating piece constructed using recordings of improvised electric bass, erhu, and melodica. The melodica is played with extended techniques to produce high frequency drones and textures. The erhu, which had its bridge removed to give a more harsh timbre, is loosely structured with spectralist compositional planning. At times certain notes are played so that some of the erhu’s overtones line up with the high frequency tone of the melodica.
狩人の夢 Variation 2
A 12-tone interpretation of Ryan Amon’s “Hunter’s Dream,” a song from the soundtrack of Bloodborne (2015).

Astenthre
An experimental choral piece composed with a combination of structured improv and strict planning. The backing track is made up of heavily processed voice recordings, including sessions in which vocalists were asked to sing at or above the highest point of their vocal range. Features performance techniques such as singing in a different room from the microphones and using a separate amplifier connected to a contact microphone placed on the throat.
discrepancy (Alternate Version)
An alternate version of discrepancy, the first song from primate (emotional) VS Technology (The Betrayer). Performed in May 2022.
A Sunrise in 3 parts
A narrative composition outlining a story of transformation and ascension, inspired by Sun Ra. The first part represents the overly methodical past/false self, in which one finds comfort but stagnation. The third part represents the future/ideal self, a more natural intuitive existence which can’t be accessed consciously. Commonly one can find multiple musicians playing at the same time, but the middle section inverts this by consisting of the same musician playing at different times, a paradoxical goal aiming to unite the selves and represent their transition between each other.
spectrojam
A piece made entirely out of audio from a Max patch that converts video to sound. It takes input from a laptop camera and assigns the alpha (brightness) value of a row of pixels to respective amplitudes of a series of sine waves. It only looks at one row of pixels at a time, starting at the top and scrolling down to the bottom. Recordings of audio from the patch were processed with Audacity, Ableton, Paulstretch, and iZotope Iris.
